House in Cas Concos — Mallorca

House in Cas Concos is a contemporary finca in the rural southeast of Mallorca, designed by architecture studio Munarq and completed in 2025. Situated on a plot of over 20,000 m², the house reads from a distance as a cluster of low, earth-toned cubic volumes — calibrated to the colour of the surrounding countryside rather than imposing upon it.

The 243 m² single-storey plan is organised around the seamless flow between interior and exterior, with terraces, dry-stone walls, and paths planted with native species threading between the volumes. Inside, polished concrete floors run throughout, grounded by the warmth of iroko joinery, solid oak, and lime mortar finishes. The central open-plan kitchen, dining, and living space opens directly onto the terraces through floor-to-ceiling glazing. The house operates off-grid with solar power and a biological water filtration system — sustainability embedded from the ground up.

Photography by Vladimir Vladimirov documents the interplay of proportion, shadow, and natural light that gives this project its quiet presence in the Mallorcan landscape.
